I was the brave one who caught the tiniest mouse you ever saw. I hope it's not a baby because that would indicate that it hasn't been living alone... We'll just pretend it's a mouse recluse. Anyway, It has been living in our garage for quite some time now. It has been leaving its little poops and such. I can't stand the thought of killing animals... Call me a wuss, but I just don't want to do it. Joel has set these two little traps that the mouse is supposed to climb into to get a peanut butter cracker. Once inside, it can't get out. They haven't worked. Maybe our mouse doesn't like peanuts... Today, we got home from shopping, and Joel saw it scurry behind a cabinet in the garage. I wanted to catch it, but Joel was being a scaredy cat. For some reason, he can't deal with mice. Anyway, I got a tennis ball holder and held it where the mouse would have to run if it wanted out from behind the cabinet. Joel proceeded to scare it away from his side with a piece of siding. It hurried up to the tennis ball holder and walked right in. HA! It couldn't climb out because the sides were too slick. VICTORY! We walked to the empty field across the street and waited for Joel to get his camera. It was freaking out, and I whispered, "Don't be afraid, little mouse. I'm not going to kill you, UNLESS YOU COME BACK." We had a little photoshoot and then let it free. It ran toward the model homes... Good job, little mouse. Don't come back here... or else.
