1. I, like my mom, hate grocery shopping. I enjoy cooking and baking, even though I am not the best at it.
2. I have traveled many places, including Australia, several European countries, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, Jamaica, and NIGERIA…
3. I spent the summer of 2006 on a mission trip in Nigeria, and I fell in love with many beautiful people there.
4. I really hate running, but I stupidly want to train to run a ½ marathon or marathon because I think it would be cool to say that I did it.5. I tore up my knee my senior year of high school, which at the time felt like the end of the world. However, I discovered my current career path because of it. I guess running, especially a marathon, would be stupid with my current status of osteoarthritis in my left knee… But hey, I’ll know all kinds of rehab and such at the end of grad school to help it get better.
6. I miss basketball. I might play on the team for the PT Olympics even though my doctor told me never to play again…
7. One day, I want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
8. I am married to the best man on the face of the planet. He is my confidant, and I love him SOOOOO much. P.S. He cooked his first meal BY HIMSELF tonight! I am proud.

9. I don’t like reading. I think it’s because I am not good at it. I read to get every detail. Textbooks are ICKY. There are a few exceptions to my rule of not liking reading: books of the Bible, The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia (when read in the correct order), and a few others. I am slightly obsessed with LOTR and CON… especially the movies... --edit--well, the books too. just anything related to them is good. here is a shelf in our entertainment center:
yea. we're obsessed.10. I want to be more like my mom. She is an amazing woman of God and has an abundance of wonderful talents.
11. I have an awesome dog named Lucy. She has OCD, and that is a tremendous understatement. She recently had her first heat cycle and now won’t stop licking our floors. I am not talking a little lick here and there. I am talking mopping our floors with her tongue. It’s sick, and it needs to stop.
12. I secretly (not so secretly anymore) want to record an album with Lindley. She is my best friend, and I’ve known her practically her whole life.
13. I love my sisters and brother-in-laws. I especially love their offspring. I can’t wait until I have a job so that I can spoil those little ones very rotten.
14. I am a carbon copy of my dad. well, his personality anyway. If you’ve never met him, you practically know him because I am just like him. I can relate to him very well, and I love him. He is my hero.
15. I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus. My goal this year is to read the entire Bible. I suck, and I have never read the whole Bible. I have read big chunks of it but never the whole thing. I just finished the book of Genesis today, and I am half-way through Matthew. Reading God’s Word is amazing, and I am becoming more in love with it every day.
16. I love Italian food. Actually, I just love food in general.
17. I love playing games--any games. I love the community that comes from playing games. I love 42, 88, cribbage, carcassonne, and pretty much any game you can throw at me. I kick bootay on the gray box. That is the original Nintendo for all you young folk out there. If there is a game, I’m in.
18. I am a Crest girl. I also like to shop at Target. I know, I know-that’s two for one.
19. I am pretty much a coffee freak. I used to drink it black, but now I like cream in it. --edit--I just remembered that my kitchen is coffee decorated. Joel and I just bought a new sign at Cracker Barrel on Friday. It's true. seriously.

20. I love theater and acting.
21. Joel and I feel called to adopt. I am SO in love with Asian babies, but we are praying about what God wants.
22. I am artistic in a big sense. I can’t draw or paint or any of that, but I am dang good at interior décor in my house, in my opinion at least. I guess my and Joel’s opinions are all that matters since it’s our house.
23. I change my mind practically every day on whether I should chop my hair off or keep growing it out.
24. At my first youth summer camp with our church, I broke the Melton curse. No broken bones (like heels or jaws), no burns, no cuts, no injuries!!!!! Hooray!
25. Joel and I are slightly obsessed with LOST. Actually, we are extremely obsessed. We just finished the most recent episode… ummmm crazy.
26. I am a super-smeller. I can smell things, sometimes weeks, before other people can. I am not looking forward to my sense of smell being heightened in future pregnancies (like 5 years from now...). -side story-my dad went hunting and forgot to take one of the birds out of his hunting vest. For about a week, I told my mom there was something dead in the garage, but she said that nothing smelled... When she washed his jacket, she found it. And yes, it was decaying.
27. I am sitting in the computer lab at school at 10 minutes til 7:00 doing this when I should be studying. This means that I am THE procrastinator of the world. It's something I've been working on.
28. The sunrise is gorgeous right now. I know that isn't about me, but it is about my Creator. He is wonderful.
29. So far in PT school, my favorite class has been anatomy. Speaking of which, the Body Worlds exhibit was awesome. It leaves 2/22, so go see it soon!
30. My house is not the cleanest. I haven't mopped in forever, considering we have a living mop named Lucy. I get in cleaning moods sometimes. I haven't been in one in a while.
31. It is a pet-peeve of mine when people use the wrong to/too/two. I also hate it when people use numbers for words--a billboard i saw recently said something similar to "__________ Church: 4 kids 2!" ugh.
There you have it. 31 random things about me.
I'm off to study. Maybe I'll add some pictures later.

i can fill in the blank on 31!
I found you through your husband's blog, I found him through Shaun Grove's blog, and I forget where I found Shaun Groves!?
Anyway, I could see us being friends (with your coffee addiction, Crest buying, Target shopping habits) Also, I am a believer who is pursuing a ministry in music as a thirtysomething mom of 3! I had a blog and have started a NEW blog to follow this newest chapter in my life. Letting the Lord lead me is basically how it all started...
take care, hope to hear from you!
