a very cheap date :D

a very nice man from church gave joel and i tickets to the yankees vs. astros game for saturday (the 14th of june). we were very excited because the tickets had been sold out for a while. we got to the park and found free parking. we also snuck in some peanuts (shh. don't tell). on top of that, one of my best friend's (erin) dad works in the club level at minute maid park. we magically got into the club level without club level tickets, and he gave us 2 free souvenir size sodas. then we got into some seating in the club level. they were great seats! we were still a little hungry after the peanuts, and our drinks were empty. so we got two more free refills and bought a DELICIOUS pretzel for $3.50. Overall, our awesome date cost $3.5o versus the approximate $142.50 that it would've cost us without all of the hookups. thanks for the hookups guys!


on another note, God taught me something at the game as well. He made me SO grateful that i am not a trophy wife. these 2 couples were sitting in front of us at the game. the wives were BLINGIN, had fixed hair, and were dressed UP, and the husbands weren't even wearing wedding rings. i am so blessed to have a husband that loves me for me... love handles, basketball shorts, t-shirts, and all. and he wears his wedding ring with pride! :)
