Capitalization

ComplIments of Sesame Street... (Todd):

I consider myself to have pretty decent grammar and punctuation. My sister scoffed when I told her that because I do not use capitalization in my blog posts. I think I am going to start trying to use capitalization. Maybe people will take my posts more seriously. (That is, only the ones that are supposed to be taken seriously.)

I don't know, Kimb. That's a dangerous path to start down. Once you let the Grammar Queens dictate what letters should be in upper case, you're opening the door for, say, the Grammar Kings to point out that, for instance, you wanted to use the word "compliments", not "complements". See what you've done?

For the record, I wouldn't say I "scoffed." I believe the discussion was more about whether capitalization was more related to grammar (my position) or syntax (yours).

Anyhow, it's good to see you're on the modern English bandwagon.

By the way, how's the knitting going?

Hmm..in the comment verification, it's impossible to tell q from g. :(
