today's commute was amazing. i was jamming on my itouchitouchi, watching the sunrise, and reading my Bible (all on the bus). God gave me a calm and peaceful spirit this morning. I love riding the bus.
I woke up at 5:20 to get to school by 7ish to work on our cadaver at 7:30. What a PLEASANT early morning. Actually, the cadaver lab is an amazing opportunity that never fails to amaze me. I don't understand how people can doubt that there is a Creator. Everything in the body just works too well together for there not to be. God is amazing.
Class was alright today. We learned how to take vital signs. I, as always, had an very low blood pressure, but I warned my partner in advance so she didn't think she was doing something wrong.
We then had a meeting about our future clinical rotations. We have to do at least one (probably 2 or 3) out-of-commuting-distance clinical rotations that last 6-7 weeks. I am sad because I will miss Joel and Lucy, but I'm also very excited for this opportunity. If you know anyone or are available to host me in your casa for free/REALLY cheap for that period of time, and you live in the USofA, please let me know! The opportunities are in the end of the Fall '09 semester (Nov. 2-Dec. 11), beginning of Summer '10 semester (beginning of June-end of July), or the beginning of Fall '10 semester (end of August-mid October). I am willing to go anywhere. The possibilities are ENDLESS! Hooray!
Joel and I just finished walking Lucy, and I'm about to cook something up for dinner. Then it's STUDY TIME! Thanks for reading my blog!
love.

you can stay in my house....wait.
You are, of course, always welcome in Portland. Hopefully by fall 2009, we will have a house (with a guest room?).
OHSU may have some internship possibilities - I know they are well regarded at least... might be worth looking into.
I like reading the Bible on the bus. It's not always the most distraction-free place to do it, but I've noticed two benefits: 1) helps keep my judgment(alism) in check when viewing other bus riders, and 2) often sparks interesting conversations. Perhaps you'll meet some interesting people that way as well.
I guess the suburb of Houston doesn't count?
